Black Bomber - Snowdonia Cheese, Snowdonia
A cheese with a name like Black Bomber is never going to be subtle. And this is fabulously strong extra mature cheddar. Powerful but mellow, it is slightly sweet with a hint of caramel and has a creamy texture that you don’t usually get with cheddars.
Black Bomber is made in Snowdonia from unpasteurised milk and comes as a mini truckle wrapped in black wax. Known as the ‘cheese with attitude’, it will definitely liven up your cheeseboard.
What with? The creaminess of Black Bomber needs something nice and sweet like Apricot Chutney or Onion Marmalade. Then all you need is a nice glass of red wine. The fiery spanish Rioja Beronia Gran Reserva is not intimidated by this Welsh Extra Mature Cheddar.
